Using this website

This website is published by Nanjing Hanjing Machinery Technology Co., Ltd, trading as MasterEdge, of Lishui District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. By using it you accept the terms on this page.

You may browse it, print pages for your own use, and send us an enquiry. You may not copy our photography, text or drawings for use in your own catalogue, listing or website without our written permission.

What the specifications mean

Every dimension, hardness range, material grade and edge-life figure on this website is indicative. Blade families are starting points, not stock items: the final specification is the one stated on the quotation we issue to you, confirmed against your machine, your material, its thickness and your line speed.

Where a page compares materials or gives an edge-life multiplier, those figures depend on how abrasive your material is, how fast the line runs and how the blade is supported. They are offered to help you frame an enquiry, not as a promise of performance.

Quotations

A quotation is valid for 15 days from its date unless it says otherwise. Prices are quoted for the specification, quantity and delivery terms stated on it; a change to any of those requires a new quotation. Nothing on this website is an offer to sell at a stated price.

An order is accepted only when we confirm it in writing.

Drawings and intellectual property

Your drawing remains yours. We use it to quote and to produce your parts, and for nothing else. We do not offer it to another customer, and we do not add your geometry to our own catalogue.

Where we draw a part for you — from a sample, a photograph or a machine model — we issue that drawing for your written approval before production. The approved drawing governs the order.

Our own designs, our photography and the MasterEdge name remain our property.

Tolerances and conformity

We manufacture to the approved drawing only. Where a drawing states no tolerance, we apply our standard workshop tolerance and state it on the quotation. Dimensional and hardness inspection is carried out against that drawing, and the inspection record travels with the shipment.

A part that conforms to the approved drawing conforms to the order, even if it does not perform as you hoped in an application we were not told about.

Warranty

We warrant our blades against defects in material and manufacture. If a blade fails because of how it was made, tell us, send us the part and we will replace it or refund it at our option.

This warranty does not cover ordinary wear, regrinding, a blade fitted to a machine it was not specified for, damage from contamination or foreign objects entering the cut, incorrect installation, clearance or mounting, or a blade modified after delivery.

Safe use

Industrial blades are sharp and, in service, dangerous. They must be installed, guarded and operated in accordance with your machine builder’s instructions and the safety law that applies to you. We are not responsible for the consequences of misapplication — fitting a blade to the wrong machine, running it beyond its rated speed, or operating it without guards.

If you are not certain a blade suits your application, ask us before you order.

Payment and delivery

Unless the quotation says otherwise, payment is by telegraphic transfer, with a deposit on order and the balance before shipment. Delivery terms, lead time and the point at which risk passes to you are those stated on the quotation and the commercial invoice.

Lead times are estimates given in good faith. We tell you at quotation stage when coating or carbide will add time.

Limits on our liability

Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for lost production, lost profit, downtime, or the cost of material spoiled in a cutting process, however caused.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

Privacy

What we do with the details you send us is set out in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may change these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when we confirmed it.
